| SKS Group of Institutions (SKSgi) marked its expansion in Mathura with the start of Sanjay College of Pharmacy (SCP). In 1980s a young entrepreneur, left the confines of his village to start up his own business enterprise. Twenty years later he had a respectable company with operations in several parts of the country and core competencies in turnkey, heavy lifting projects. In the year 2001 when approached by the local administration, Shri S K Sharma dared to invest in the non-profitable noble cause of setting up educational institutions for the good of the society in the Steel City of Durgapur, which at that time was severely suffering from the closure of several Large Scale Industries in the region.
